Design trained. Commercially accountable. The two have never been separate.
Twelve years at Office, from the shop floor to a board facing commercial role, through a private equity cycle and the sale of the business to Truworths International.
Four years as Brand Director of Dishonor London, where the way a product was made became the story rather than a footnote. A period advising founders through Covid, when trading was hard and the decisions carried real fear. Much of it remains under NDA.
Now Managing Director and Brand Director at Walk London and the Andiamo International group, where the brand and creative remit is held personally rather than delegated.
BA Graphic Design. Still hands on across the Adobe Creative Suite, still on the shoot when the work needs it. Close enough to sharpen an idea or challenge a layout in the moment, without doing the team's job for them.
The studio. Built from nothing. Concept, art direction, photography, film and copy made in one room.
The private work. Painting, photography, sculpture and carving, made by hand to no brief but my own.
Visible, direct and empathetic. High standards, honestly held. Teams built around clear accountability, and successors developed rather than dependents, which is why the teams stayed and grew through each cycle.
Retail, direct to consumer, e-commerce, wholesale, marketplaces, manufacturing and international distribution. Working command of buying, merchandising, marketing, logistics and finance. The United Kingdom, Germany and the United States.
Original work made by hand in the studio. Painting, photography, sculpture and carving. It is not a sideline to the commercial work. It is where the originating happens, and it is the reason the commercial ideas are not assembled from references.
